BioCH4-to-Market is a pilot action which seeks to prove up to 80% reductions in lifecycle Green House Gas (GHG) emissions within the maritime transport sector with the use of BioMethane as an advance marine drop-in biofuel, in comparison to the current status quo.

The novel technological solutions, to be further advanced within the project, will facilitate small-scale decentralised biogas production and market access of added value within the maritime transportation sector, without the prior need for relevant gas infrastructure.

It is foreseen that the global challenge of organic waste management can be converted into a distinct opportunity, boosting local economies, and fostering socioeconomic prosperity in developing and emerging countries.
